In this work Sy applies his graphic precision to the cinematic legend Charlie Chaplin. By stripping "The Tramp" down to a sleek, rounded silhouette, Sy merges the nostalgia of silent film with the bold, flat-graphic style of modern street art. The iconic bowl hat and mustache remain, but they are modernized by the trademark "CHARLIE" blindfold - a signature Y-CONS element that recontextualizes the hero for a new generation.

Born in France in 1982, Youssef Sy (YSY) is a contemporary pop artist whose aesthetic was forged in the worlds of French comics and Japanese mangas. After serving as the Head of Design for Havas Sports Group, Sy spent six years in Japan - a pivotal period where he birthed his signature "Y-CONS" character concept. His ability to distill personality into minimalist icons eventually led to a major collaboration with Lacoste, where he designed the collection for tennis world number one Novak Djokovic, reflecting their shared values of passion and abnegation.
