The Journey Is The Destination
Stepping Into The World’s Fastest Business Jet.
THE FASTEST BUSINESS JET in the world has taken off, and it's proving that the journey is just as exciting as the destination.
Channeling more than eight decades of craftsmanship and expertise, the Montreal-based manufacturer Bombardier has tailored its latest offering to the most discerning travelers - those who value time, flexibility, and an environment designed for productivity, unparalleled comfort and wellbeing. The peerless ultra-long-range Global 8000, described by Bombardier as the “flagship for a new era,” entered service in December 2025.
For Éric Martel, President and CEO of the Canadian company and its more than 18,000 employees, the entry-into-service of the Global 8000 is a proud moment. “This revolutionary aircraft is redefining the business aviation landscape with its innovative design, signature smooth ride, unmatched performance and a promise fulfilled to our customers. Every innovation and every detail reflects the hard work, creativity and dedication of our teams.”
The fastest civil aircraft since the Concorde (and with the lowest cabin altitude), the 19-seater jet sets a new industry benchmark with a top speed of Mach 0.95. Aside from blistering speed, the aircraft also delivers a best-in-class range of 8,000 nautical miles - making non-stop flights between such city pairs as Nice-Los Angeles, Nice-Rio de Janeiro, Nice-Singapore and Nice-Honolulu the new reality. In addition, the aircraft’s class-leading runway performance unlocks access to 30 percent more airports than its closest competitor, enabling passengers to land closer to their ultimate destination.
Despite its impressive speed, the cabin is the quietest in its class, thanks to intentional fuselage contouring, engine selection and placement, and superior sound insulation. The aircraft also delivers business aviation’s smoothest ride, with Bombardier’s Smooth Flx Wing - often described as “two wings in one” - offering both high-speed and high-lift characteristics to deliver the ultimate performance.
And with a cruising altitude of 41,000 feet, comfort is redefined with a remarkably low cabin altitude of just 2,691 feet - comparable to standing atop the Burj Khalifa - setting a new benchmark for passenger wellbeing.
Additionally, Bombardier’s PrAir system with advanced hospital-grade HEPA filter technology ensures fast fresh air replacement throughout the cabin, as well passenger-controlled heating and cooling. As Stephen McCullough, Bombardier’s Senior Vice President, Engineering and Product Development, explains, “We have focused heavily on elevating the passenger experience, imperative priorities for ultra-long-range travel.”
The aircraft is truly a home office in the sky. Its stunning cabin boasts many notable features inspired by its predecessor, the Global 7500 (which earned more than 150 speed records - the most to date for a single business jet type), including the industry’s first 55-inch 4K OLED TV, Bombardier’s l’Opéra audio system with adjustable sweet spot technology, Soleil circadian-based cabin lighting system and available sound synchronization for an immersive lightshow. Cabin control and connectivity are accessed at the touch of a button, through the intuitive NICE Touch cabin management system (CMS) and OLED touch dial - another industry first.
The Bombardier jet features four true living spaces - the six-seat Conference Suite, four-place Club Suite, Entertainment Suite, and Principal Suite with full-size bed and private en suite lavatory with available stand-up shower. Hot foods are prepared in business aviation’s largest galley, and total zero-gravity comfort while reclined in Bombardier’s patented Nuage seat, the first completely redesigned business aviation seat in 30 years, crafted specifically to reduce lower back pressure, optimize weight distribution and increase circulation during flight.
“There was a time in aviation when you had to make tradeoffs, choosing between using smaller, more convenient airports, speed and range, or choosing a more pleasant cabin experience versus faster flights on more turbulent wings,” says Emmanuel Bornand, Bombardier’s Vice-President of International Sales. This commitment to excellence extends beyond aircraft performance and on-board luxury.
Sustainability is a priority for Bombardier, from the use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) across company operations to energy-efficient manufacturing processes and environmental product declarations. For today’s business leaders, Bombardier aircraft represent a modern approach to aviation - speed, comfort and capability, aligned with environmental stewardship.
In the competitive arena of ultra-long-range business jets, the Global 8000 stands alone. With near-supersonic speed, exceptional range and operational agility - plus a thoughtfully designed cabin optimized for productivity - the Bombardier jet is a strategic tool for executives who value time and flexibility.
Its successful launch into service is a testament to Bombardier’s rich history of ingenuity, accumulated expertise and dedication to excellence - qualities that have inspired the company’s products for nearly 84 years.
