How To Party Like Lia Riva

On Saturday June 29th, the day kicked off with a warm welcome breakfast in the Riva tunnel in Monaco for all participants, followed by a briefing on the rules of the regularity race course and elegance contest. Excitement filled the air as the GEBCO seabed project 2030 was introduced, offering one lucky yacht the chance to explore and collect data from the seabed between Monaco and Saint Tropez. This ambitious project is supported by Lia Riva, the owner of Monaco boat service and the official dealer for Riva boats in Monaco and France.

Unfortunately, some boats had to surrender at the race, due to the severe weather conditions on their way to Saint Tropez; but the majority of the guests did fight heroically their way through the waves, to reach the Pampelonne Beach for a luxurious lunch at “La Serena,” The guest were animated the whole afternoon by a fabulous live music band and could enjoy a beach fashion show.

In the evening Lia Riva welcomed all her VIP guest to a glamorous dinner party at the Museé de l’Annonciade located on the port of St Tropez, where the painter Godon exposes momentarily his colorful marine artworks including often the iconic Riva Aquarama boats in his scenery.                                           

Lia Riva surprised the participants with a unique 3D immersive "Art Experience" where they were transported into Claude Monet’s studio and his iconic paintings. The evening continued with Ballerinas dancing through the sublime flower decorated gardens animating the guests to join their gracious moves. During the gourmet, candlelight dinner some breathtaking videos of the latest Riva boats transported the viewers into the open seas. Later two special guests, Olympian athlete Kory Tarpenning and the competition manager of the Yacht Club of Monaco Paolo Ghigo, shared insights on the connection between Olympic values and the exclusive, high-class lifestyle represented by the Riva brand - a true symbol of Italian Dolce Vita.

As the night progressed, the everyone danced to the music and enjoyed a special DJ set by Jack.e, the artistic director of Les Caves du Roy St Tropez since 1997. The evening ended on a high note with the hymn of “Welcome to Saint Tropez,” creating a truly unforgettable experience for all privileged participants.

On Sunday June 30th, the second part of the 15th edition of the Riva Trophy started with a fabulous brunch on the rooftop of St. Tropez Lounge Club under a bright sunshine. Following the delicious meal, the Elegance Contest 2024 took place with the theme “Les Jeux Olympiques.” The Riva boats in competition paraded through the port of Saint Tropez, showcasing iOlympic themes in some extraordinary team effort scenarios, filled with energy and fun, that the spectators had her best time ever. The participants were judged by a prestigious panel led by Lia Riva and including Kory, Paolo, and Helga Piaget (President of Passion Sea and one of the 6 members of the Monaco golf players at the 2016 Small State Olympics).

After an exhilarating test drive experience in a Range Rover Vogue, all participants returned to Monaco for a glamorous Gala dinner at the iconic Yacht Club de Monaco. The evening was filled with excitement as luxury prizes and exclusive brand experiences were awarded during the ceremony. Lia Riva closed the night with these thoughts: “I would like to thank all sponsors, partners and my team for making this weekend possible. I’m thrilled to have shared these days with you all.
