Monegasque Pride: Young Volleyball Team Debuts in Malta

For the first time in Monegasque history, 13 young volleyball players are representing the Principality at the CEV Small Countries Association U-18 Women's Championship in Malta, held from April 10 to 13. Guided by manager Axel Le Meur, the team comprises Leana Curetti, Paloma Pizio, Erin Shire, Jony Jane Braggiotti Marcato, Lina Gastaud, Elisha Dana, Anastasia Amici, Louna Herbert, Naomi Nigioni, Mathea Chanas, Eden Duprat, Cassia Schubler, and Chloé Merlo.

This European championship features six small nations competing: Ireland (IRL), Malta (MLT), Monaco (MON), Northern Ireland (NIR), San Marino (SMR), and Scotland (SCO). Monaco’s debut in this tournament highlights the Principality’s rising prominence in international volleyball.

United by passion and teamwork, these athletes are poised to proudly carry Monaco’s flag.
